A Senior Lecturer in Multimedia Technology Department, School of Multimedia Technology and Communication, College of Arts and Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia. His Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) is from Universiti Utara Malaysia. He obtained his Master Science in Communication Technology and Ph.D in Mass Communication from Universiti Putra Malaysia. He taught undergraduate courses on Media Technology. Among others, he conducted courses on Media Theory, Media Psychology, Media Research Methods, and Multivariate Statistics. His research interest are on the influence and impact of media on religious, society, and politics. He is currently supervising a number of PhD and Master students. Besides presented numerous papers at national and international conference he also contributed articles in journals, chapters in books on media. He conducted a series of workshop on Basic Statistics and more than 600 workshops on Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM and PLS-SEM).

Teaching: He has taught in various Undegraduate and Postgraduate levels specializing in Media Theory, Media Psychology, Multivariate Media Research and Statistical Methods. His research works focuses on the influence and impact of media on religion, society and politics. Supervision: He has successfully supervised two PhD and two Master (by research) students in Media Management and more than 50 undergraduate students in media studies. Currently, he issupervising ten PhD and master students in Media Management. Publications: He has published a book titled “Communication Research Methodology: Quantitative Approach” (2013) published by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP), and several chapters in books published by prominent publishers, namely “Social Media and the New Academic Environment: Pedagogical Challenges” by IGI Global (2013), “Islamic Perspective on Management: Contemporary Issues” by YAPEIM Publications (2013), “Youths, Media and Politics: A New Identity” by UniMAP Press (2015), and “Current Issues of Media and Da'wah” by the UM Islamic Studies Academy (2015). In addition, he has produced articles in the SCOPUS-indexed journals such as “Community Social Capital in Malaysia: A Pilot Study” in the Asian Social Science Journal, YouTube and the Young Generation of Islam: A Focus Group Approach among University Students”, “” in the Jurnal Komunikasi, Malaysian Journal of Communication. Workshop: He is actively conducting series of workshops on research proposal, methodology, and data analysis for Master and PhD thesis by using SPSS, AMOS and SmartPLS statistical software and has successfully facilitated more than 60 workshops on the respective topics.
