YouTube Lucky Draw Contest

Creativity is typically centered around original thought and knowledge, which unleashes potential and is an integral part of idea generation. Innovation, on the other hand, is used to turn the creative idea that you come up with into a viable solution. International Creative & Innovation Idea Competition (ICIIC) 2026 is a competition to foster the creativity and innovation idea and thus facilitate creative problem solving. The participants can submit their ideas in the form of a 5 minutes video pitch. 

Eligibility
  • ICIIC is open to all public; school, higher institution students and professional categories
  • Participation for student's category must include one (1) advisor/lecturer 
  • Minimum and maximum number of members for student's category are two (2) including advisor, and maximum six (6) respectively.
  • Professional category can register 1  (minimum) to 5 (maximum) members.
  • Video must be in English. Clear sound and brightness.
  • All applications must be the original work of those making the submission.​​

JUDGING CRITERIA
​
​Pitches will be judged by a panel of experts who have experience in innovation. To determine the winners, participants will be assessed based on these criteria:
​
  1. Brief Introduction/Background
  2. Problem Statement(s)
  3. Objectives
  4. Novelty/Uniqueness
  5. Benefits to intended users and society
  6. Commercialisation potential
  7. Awards/recognition received (if applicable)
  8. Research Evidence (if applicable)
  9. Professionalism in communication and creative presentation
​ ​VIDEO GUIDELINE 
​
​The instructions for the video submission are:
  1. Video length must not exceed 5 minutes
  2. Please make sure that the video is:
    1. In English
    2. Clear sound and lighting
    3. Minimum background noise
    4. Start the video with ICIIC introduction video. You may download it here.
  3. Please insert the Google Drive video link in the registration form and make sure to set 'Anyone with the link can view'.
  4. Please note that we will upload the video on ICIIC YouTube channel. By participating in this competition, consent is given to the organiser to publish it online.
  5. You may participate in the YouTube Lucky Draw Contest. Please refer the contest poster below.

 We suggest you to emphasis on the evaluation criteria. A clear and creative video presentation may give a good impression to the juries. VIDEO DURATION MUST BE NOT MORE THAN 5 MINUTES.
ABSTRACT GUIDELINE
  1. Abstract must be in one paragraph only consist of 200-250 words.
  2. Abstract must be written in English and free of spelling and grammar mistake.
  3. A good abstract contains a background, problem statement, objective, novelty, benefits to society etc.​

PUBLICATION (Category A only)
 
The organiser will publish a chapter in book (with e-ISBN number) in conjunction with the event. Participants (category A only) are invited to submit a full paper of 4-5 pages describing your innovative project. The full paper must follow the template below and contain an abstract, introduction, literature review, methodology, results & discussion, conclusion & recommendation and reference. Figures or tables must not exceed 50 percent of the essay. The fee for the publication is FREE OF CHARGE. RM10 is charged for an additional page (6th onwards). The maximum number of pages allowed is 10. We highly encourage you to proofread the article before submitting it. ​

The Full paper must be submitted electronically to the Google form here no later than 16 January 2026. No submission is accepted after the deadline.

Copyright Form
Authors are required to submit a copyright Form together with the manuscript. Corresponding author of the manuscript can sign the form on behalf of all co-authors. ​

Please note that the registration is not a confirmation of your participation. An acceptance letter will be emailed in 1-2 working days (it may take longer approaching the deadline). Please resubmit if you do not received any feedback in a week (please check the spam folder too).
